How a Joint Divination Session Works

For over 15 years, Kristen and Selah have practiced collaborative divination and taught Divinatory Poetics, developing a rare synergy that brings depth, precision, and multidimensional insight to their readings.

Kristen works with Daughters of the Moon Tarot, a feminist reimagining of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, while Selah draws from a Southern family tradition of divination using the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Together, they offer a dynamic and layered approach—one that blends intuitive guidance with visionary frameworks, providing both practical strategies and expansive perspectives to support you and bring clarity to your questions.

As part of your booking process, you’ll complete an online check-in form where you can share the questions and concerns you’d like Kristen and Selah to address during your session.

Once your booking is complete, we will reach out to you to schedule your Zoom session.

  • Yes—we love working with small groups! These sessions are a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday, honor a threshold, or gather your loved ones for a meaningful, shared experience.

    We offer 1.5-hour sessions via Zoom for intimate groups.

    Minimum group size: 4 participants
    Maximum group size: 6 participants

    Group Pricing:

    • 4 participants: $375

  • Yes. Some questions call for sustained focus. Ongoing sessions allow us to go deeper, observe patterns, and work toward meaningful, grounded progress.   • Yes! Over the years, we’ve partnered with a diverse range of businesses and organizations in ways that are both strategic and deeply creative. Our contributions are always shaped by context, but often include designing and facilitating retreats, leading in-house or Zoom workshops, and offering insight during pivotal moments of growth or transition. 

    As diviners, speakers, and designers of rituals and ceremonies, we also collaborate with businesses and organizations on a range of events—from fundraisers to seasonal celebrations. These offerings are crafted to invite collective meaning-making and a shared sense of presence and joy.

  • At Four Queens Divinaiton, we only work with individuals who are 21 and older.

  • A diviner’s integrity and reputation is everything. Confidentiality isn’t just a courtesy; it’s a cornerstone of our practice.

    We store your recordings through a professional grade We Transfer account. WeTransfer is a file-sharing service that allows large files to be sent quickly and easily. Most importantly, files are transferred via secure, encrypted connections and are only accessible through unique, time-limited download links. It’s widely used by professionals across industries for its simplicity, reliability, and security. Your recording will be automatically deleted from We Transfer after three months. If you'd like to revisit it in the future, be sure to download and save it to your device.

    For public figures or high-profile clients, we are experienced in working under non-disclosure agreements and are happy to discuss those terms.

  • Refunds are not issued once a session, class, or service has taken place.

    If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for a refund, except in the case of an emergency, in which case, please do reach out and we’ll make the appropriate arrangements.

About Kristen & Selah

Kristen E. Nelson and Selah Saterstrom are writers, educators, and diviners with nearly fifty years of combined experience in intuitive guidance, radical creative practice, and community-building. Together, they co-founded Four Queens Divination and co-host The Janky Church Podcast, where they explore the intersections of divination and writing.

Selah is the author of five books, including Ideal Suggestions: Essays in Divinatory Poetics, and draws on a Southern family-style of card reading. Kristen is a queer writer and performer whose divination sessions blend tarot, prescriptive magic, and ritual. She is the author of two full-length collections of poetry, including the recent In the Away Time, and as a PhD Candidate at UC Santa Cruz, she researches Witchcraft Studies, Feminist Autotheory, and Creative Writing.

Both Selah and Kristen are respected teachers and facilitators who have guided many through divinatory sessions, writing and divination workshops, and mentorship rooted in intuitive and creative practices. At the heart of their shared work is the belief that divination and radical creativity are living practices rooted in liberation.

Selah lives on Vashon Island in the Pacific Northwest and Kristen lives in Santa Cruz, California.
